UPS strike could disrupt deliveries and roil the package delivery business
Dear Valued Customer,
We wanted to thank you for your continued support. We realize that you have plenty of options when it comes to your pet’s supplies. We want to express our gratitude for choosing us, and we will continue to provide the excellent customer service that you deserve and are accustomed to. To that end, we must inform you of a development that could potentially cause a disruption or delay in the delivery of your pet’s supplies.
Within less than 24 hours, UPS and the union representing more than 340,000 of its workers went from looking like an agreement would be reached on a new five-year labor contract to walking away from the negotiating table.
As reported in the news, the Teamsters union will call for a UPS workers strike, starting on August 1st at 12:01 AM.
We expect this to have drastic consequences. Customers could see slower delivery of goods to households and higher prices on products and shipping,
We will continue to monitor the situation. Any updates that we receive will be passed on to you.
In the meantime, we do recommend stocking up on necessary supplies if you are able to, as we are unsure how long a possible strike could last. To help alleviate the stress that this strike could cause, we do offer shipping services through FedEx and the United States Postal Service (USPS). We do expect these services to have delays due to the increased package volume, so we suggest allowing a few extra days for delivery during this time.
You are a part of Fishick , and we will do everything in our power to help alleviate any difficulties during this time.
